As a qualified European Patent Attorney since 2013, Alexandros advises Research centers, university departments, SMEs and Start-ups on their IP matters, namely, preparation, drafting and prosecution of patent applications for filing national (GR), EPO or PCT patent applications.

As Patent Manager at MyScript since 2018, he oversees a portfolio of more than a hundred patents and patent applications filed around the world. As a full member of the Professional Education Committee of the institute of professional representatives before the EPO (epi) he represents Greece in all educational matters related to the European Qualifying Examination.

From 2012 to 2018 he worked as a European Patent Attorney with ZBM Patents & Trademarks, a Tier 1 law firm based in Barcelona. From 2010 to 2012 he worked at Pappas IP, a boutique IP law firm based in Athens, Greece. From 2002 to 2009 he worked as a Patent Examiner at the Greek Patent Office representing Greece on numerous occasions at Patent Classification meetings and committees at the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) as well as at the EPO.

Qualifications and Education

Alexandros passed the European Qualifying Examination and qualified as a professional representative before the European Patent Office in 2013. He acquired his MSc in Technology and Innovation Management from the Science Policy Research Unit of the University of Sussex, UK in 1997 and his Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from National Technical University of Athens in 1996.
He is fluent in English, Greek, Spanish, has a working knowledge of French and Catalan and a basic knowledge of German.
